Shallow Water Interaction

Imagine a lagoon filled with Atlantic Bottlenose dolphins welcoming you in on their fun.

In the Shallow Water Interaction at Dolphin Cay, you’ll wade in waist-high to watch these playful animals show off some of their favorite skills.

Then come nose to bottlenose with these charismatic creatures for an unforgettable, up-close encounter.

Limited to just 10 guests, this intimate interaction begins with an orientation and includes 30 minutes in the water. Wetsuits, personal lockers, beach towels, and non-alcoholic refreshments are provided, along with all-day access to Dolphin Cay’s private beach.

This family favorite is open to guests of all ages and swimming abilities.

Deep Water Swim

In the Deep Water Swim at Dolphin Cay, a one-of-a-kind dolphin experience awaits. Limited to just six guests, this wide-open dolphin playground is yours to explore. Hand-held water scooters let you control your speed, so you can race alongside dolphins, cruise along the surface, or dive to the depths of their saltwater lagoon. Snorkels and masks are also provided—and yours to take with you.

The highlight of your encounter, is our signature “foot push,” where a pair of dolphins—one on each foot—propel you across the lagoon for a rush unlike any you’ve experienced.

This unforgettable interaction begins with an orientation and includes 30 minutes in the deep water lagoon. Wetsuits, personal lockers, beach towels, and non-alcoholic refreshments are provided, along with all-day access to Dolphin Cay’s private beach.

Participants must be at least 10 years of age and be able to swim in deep water without support vests or assistance.

Observer Program

Reserved for family and friends of those participating in dolphin interactions, The Beach Pass gives you a front row seat to the fun of Dolphin Cay. The Observer beach pass is open to guests of all ages, and reservations are recommended.

You can also take part in our dolphin orientation program, designed to familiarize guests with the Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins of Atlantis—and prepare them for the thrill ahead.

Passes to this private beach are reserved for family and friends of those participating in dolphin interactions, giving you a front row seat to the fun of Dolphin Cay. The Observer beach pass is open to guests of all ages. Reservations are recommended.

From customizing your own personal dolphin interaction to providing a unique and memorable venue for private parties or convention groups, our staff can help you create an exclusive event unlike any other.

Each private event is fully customized depending on the needs of the group, and can include dolphin interactions and fully catered beachside dining for daytime or nighttime entertainment.

Education Center

Whether you’re interested in learning more about the dolphins you can swim with at Dolphin Cay or just want the fun to last a little longer, our interactive Education Center is worth the visit.

Here you’ll find electronic stations where you can read about our dolphins rescued from Hurricane Katrina, or learn more about dolphins in the wild and what you can do to help protect them.

You can even send a free, customized e-postcard to a friend. Admission is free and open to all visitors of Atlantis.

A portion of the proceeds from Dolphin Cay interactions and retail purchases benefit marine conservation and research through the not-for-profit Kerzner Marine Foundation.
